How to have a successful conversation?

Remember this few points

1. Listening is more important than talking. That is why a good listener is more welcomed by people when people wanted to start a conversation.

2. To be a good listener, you must know how to ask question.

For the friend you met the first time or people that you have not met for long time, use F.O.R.M

Ask about....

F - Family 

O - Occupation

R - Recreation

M - Message

Ask about family. What his/her parents do, how many brother sister she/he have, where his/her parents live and so on.

Ask about occupation. Ask does he/she like his current job. How he/she get the job? If he/she don't like the job, what does he/she plan to do about it? If he/she like the job, why?

Ask about recreation which is his/her interest. What you like to do during free time or weekend? What is your hobby? How do you spend your holiday? What is your dream?

Message is the information that you get from him/her. From this message, you will be able to know how he/she thinks. When you know how he/she thinks, it will be easier for you to communicate with him/her.

Always remember that listening is more important than listening. Especially when you are alone with someone.
