Summary of Kuching trip

I will try to list out the special and important things that happened when we are in Kuching.

First day

The original bus that we use had its air conditioner break down at Sarikei. We waited for another 2 hours for another bus to arrive. Many people feel unhappy when this happen.

Arrived at Ranchan Pool but it is raining. Therefore, only few people went down to play water.

The toilet of Ching Kwong church is not in a good condition. The door cannot be locked, some of the tank cannot be flushed, one of the window is broken and can be looked clearly from outside.

There is no air conditioner in male room.


Second day

We wake up early to go to morning praying section. However, we got the wrong time and we went there too early. The exact time start at 5.30 am but we thought it is 5.00 am. So many people went back to their room and some of them didn't come at 5.30am anymore.

Went to museum and suggested by the bus driver, we walk to shopping mall. It takes about 30-40 minutes to arrive at the shopping complex. Many people feel unhappy again.

We had a crush defeat in cake designing activity because we are not prepared for it.


Third day

Everyone went for morning prayer section.

Cultural village dissapointed everyone.

Damai beach need entrance fees? (shocked)

Went to the spring for shopping but only got 45 minutes left after eating dinner at Sushi King. Dissapointed.

Fourth day

3 people did not go for prayer section. I felt extremely sleep at the prayer section too.

Went to the waterfall place the we heard that the bridge collapsed. So in exchange, we went to Matang Family park. Well, that the original plan. I never want to go to the bigger waterfall. I think that is the happiest moment in this whole trip. We let our leg to be bitten by small fish. The fish is eating the dead skin. Haha.

The happiest day must be today. Shopping for whole afternoon from 1pm - 6pm. Of course, it include the lunch and dinner time. Everyone enjoyed it especially the free eye and body test.

Night time, we gather and share our feeling, experience and anything that we thought of. We share even the bad things.

Funniest moment will be Nicholas stucked in woman toilet, Sen Yong sleeping style and the angel activity revealing time.


Fifth day

Last day, we went to crocodile farm. A little monkey can come out from the cage. However, it is very tame. As long as you don't disturb it. We feed it with some food and it take the foods from us gently. Crocodile dancing is really funny. We also see a very big fish. Maybe bigger than my tummy.

On the way back, our advisor Mr Ho Wen Hua treat everyone to a meal.

Arrived Sibu at about 8.30pm. Everyone is exhausted.


The next day, which is today, i received a phone call from the advisor asking if there is anyone of us have stomach ache. He said the food where he treat us to eat at the last day of the trip might not be clean enough. We saw it and we only choose the clean food but most of us didn't saw it. I hope no one have stomach ache too. ....

Second day on Kuching trip

Today is just the second day of my trip to Kuching where i am the leader.

I feel sooooo tired.......

The car air cond break down on the way to Kuching at Sarikei. We waited for 2 hours for a new bus to arrive at Sarikei. We get on the bus and continue our journey to Kuching.

We arrived at Ranchan Pool at 3.45pm. However at that time, the rain pour down heavily and no one wants to get themselves wet. So there are only 4 people who went to play water. Other people are just scared of getting wet and keep on complaining and complaining.

Then we arrived Kuching at 6.45 pm. We unload everything and went to shopping at Hock Lee at 7.30pm. We take dinner at the cafe around there. We played and finally i felt a bit relieved.


At the second day, we went to museum at morning. Then we plan on going to shopping mall at afternoon but the bus driver suggested us to walk to India Street to take lunch and continue walking to shopping mall around there. However, we don't want to take lunch at India Street and we skipped to shopping mall. The distance of museum and shopping mall is huge. We walk for about 30 minutes. This is too tiring..... however, my feeling recovered when we went to Chicken Hartz. We eat for about 1 and a half hour.

At night, we have a gathering with Ching Kwong Youth Fellowship. We have a cake design competition. And that's all for the first 2 days.

New Journey

After 2 and a half year studying in Methodist Pilley Institute with some pretty nice result, i can finally rest for a few months. I don't know if I can really rest for these few months or not. Maybe i have to start working. Anyway, there is no rest. There is a new journey ahead.

After abandoning my blog for about half year..... i am finally back to write some more things about myself.

Oh yeah, my final project which is submitted few days ago is totally printed at KV's house. I am sure i used up pretty much of printer ink. Thanks a lot. T.T

In this last semester, some good and some bad things happen. The most memorable thing is when i argue with a teacher that always late but said us late. I mean....come on.... a teacher is a role model for student. "Well, i dont want to go through too much of this. I had said it before. We will go through this again. We already go through of this. I will tell you in the next lesson" are his famous words. LOL!

In this semester, good things that happen is not much.... i can only remember some like... having a last minute study in Multimedia but able to get A+. LOL. Couldn't believe it myself either.

My life has nothing interesting when i am in studies. However, now the holiday starts. I can find some interesting things to do.

Another regrettable things is the online game namely nostale that my friends and I play will be shut down at 31 December 2010. OMG, how come the online game will be closed.... i cant believe it. My friends and I spent a lot of time to play it and now it comes to this. However, we found a new game called Legend of Edda. It is really a fun game. This game has some fun features. You can have a battle where 50 player play against 50 player and it does not necessary if you are low level, everyone become same level in the battle or we called it war in the game. The war is a strategy, speed and mind game. However, i always failed to perform great because of this slow laptop.

Well, i cant do anything about it unless to say thank you to my laptop. It had been helping me for 2 and a half years in my homework and other things. I am really glad that this laptop function better than most of the laptop. I am also grateful that this laptop can still be used. However, newer but cheaper model is out there. I think it is about time to change a new one. I am sure that i will change to a new one in few more months if i have enough $$$$$.

What happen if you are computer science student?

Opssss. I haven't finish update and click post button....my mistake.

Alright, it had been decided. My pets....puppies. First with brown stocking(brown leg) will be named as Milo and the puppy with white stocking will be named as Milky. They are so cute...

Alright. Back to the topic.

Recently, i found out a bad habit of computer science student. A computer science student, normally is a person who like to play computer game or online or chatting. If this is the reason, they will use computer very often. With the computer science subjects that include programming and some other web design homework, the percentage of using computer increase again.

I can say from the beginning of the year, the words i type in computer is more than the words i talk to my father.

Normal people normally use about 2-4 hours to play computer and CS student normally use 8-10 hours to play computer. No one can restrict them. If their parents ask them to stop, they can simply say they are doing homework. Correct?

When i go to a shop, i don't go to see the product immediately. I look around and see how they conduct their system. Is it computerized? Is it using network cable? Using rj-45 or wireless or fiber optic? And if they got computerize their system, what language do they use? Is it TC, C, Java, C++, ASP, PHP, Visual Basic or others? And is it a web based system or stand alone system? What kind of database they use? Oracle or XAMPP?

Haiz....the impact of CS course is too big. I don't think like i used to when i was in secondary school anymore. But i don't hate what i am now. In fact i like it. Seldom people think like how we think. So it is exciting to be different. Haha.

New Pet

Today my brother bring 2 pets back from the place he go for outstation which is Rantau Panjang. Once i heard it, i rush back immediately and saw 2 little puppies. Wao. very cute but still very little and young. Just born for about few months mayb. Or few weeks.

Due to a reason that i want to prepare myself to watch world cup fifa, so i don't post the picture yet. Haha.

Oh ya, please anyone who see this post, think of 2 names that is suitable for my 2 females puppies.

Puppy 1

Drink more milk. Got 2 brown dot between eyes. Brown leg color. Fatter than another puppy. Younger than another puppy. Easier to get along with. Not scare of its master too much.

Puppy 2
White leg. Scare of its master. Older than first puppy. Personally think it is cuter. Always hide in the corner when i approach.

A real life sad story in Africa

Long time ago, there are many people who travel oversea arrive in Africa. One of this people, which i don't know the name, came across a place in Africa and met a bear. This bear is still young and small. He brought it back and treat it like his own family member.

He keep on treating the bear until it grow larger than a human. By time pass, the man got married and have a baby that is about 1 year old.

The bear is still treated by the man nicely as his own family member. They live a happy life.

One day, the man and his wife went out to city to buy food for the bear. They run out of food for the bear. The bear is hungry and looked fierce. The man and his wife went out and leave the bear and the baby in the house.

Few hours later, the couple come back and on the midway, they saw the bear waving and smiling happily to them. The bear jumping around like how he always play with the family member. However, this time its different. The bear face is full of blood. His body, arm and leg also covered with blood.

The man felt angry. He knew the bear killed his baby. The man cried and take his gun from his back, shot the bear on the spot. The bear didn't resist and died on the spot. The man cried....because he lost 2 of his most important family member which is the bear and the baby.

When he arrived home, he saw a frightening scene. A lion's body is in the house. The baby is crying on the floor. By now, the man realize the bear protected his baby.

The lion came to eat the baby but the bear bite the lion to death which is the reason its face is full of blood. Bear's body is injured because the lion resisted and bite the bear. The bear waving and jumping around happily earlier hoping the man will praise him for his work.

This story is touching. I hope everyone can learn something from this story.

Ironman vs Ip Man

Which one you think is better?

Both movie has some similarity. First, both of them is nice and great movie. Second, both of them end with Man. Hahaha. And last, both of them got the first movie.

The differences between these 2 movies are one is in chinese and another one is in english. One is based on fighting and another one is based on techonology. One is based on history and another is based on fantasy.

Although i had not seen the first movie of both of the movie, but personally, i think Ip Man is a little bit better. It is because i like action movie more than high technology movie. Hahaha.

I went to watch both of the movie this week. First time i watch 2 movies in a week. I watched Ip Man first and at first, i think it might be good. However, it is great. The story line goes nicely. No rush to end the movie. Unlike some movie, the story end too quick. Ironman movie also have its own advantages. The story line is good. But there is something i don't understand about the movie where when he is going to make a new element, he made a long thing and he only use up a small part of it. Maybe it is too high tech so i don't understand it. Well, never mind.

About action, Ironman does an outstanding performance by flying over from one place to another place. It is nice. And the second ironman use the machine gun, i really like that one more than original one. Haha.

However, Ip Man also have a marvellous action part. I rather say the whole movie is action movie. Fighting against the kung fu children, fish seller, other kung fu master and lastly the boss. Haha.

What is your happiest moment?

What is your happiest moment?

Most of the people will say spending time with your beloved, or hanging out with friends. Or maybe some of them will say when they can spend money to buy the things they like.

You have your own happiest moment to, havent you?

However, my happiest moment is the combination of 3 things which is spending time with beloved, spending time with friends and eat. This moment had been achieved few times in this year....i think twice.

Last Tuesday, my friends and I went to BBQ twinstar steambot to eat. RM19 but you can eat all you can. 100gram leftover will need to be charged for RM3 or Rm4. But normally they don't check.

We arrived at about 6.45pm which is 15minutes late. At that time, 2 people had arrived and they are waiting for us. Then we went in and wait for another 10minutes for others to arrive. Then we can't wait anymore, we started.

Order soup, take plate, spoon, chopsticks and others. Meat, chicken, prawn, sotong, vegetable.

Eat nonstop for 1 and half hour. Take picture when we nearly finish eating. Cook and have fun. Also shout all they way when the oil pop onto the skin. Hahaha.

Methodist Pilley Institute Result

Year 2010 Semester 1 Result will be released at

7-8 May 2010

Since it is 21st century, we can view the result online following the current steps.

1. Open your web browser(eg. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome)

2. Key in www.pilley.edu.my (currently had been changed to a certain ip address. which is this http://218.111.167.58/login.php)

3. Press enter

4. Key in your cms username and password(since you are MPI student who is going to check your result, you should know what is that.)

5. Check your result like what you usually do.

6. Cry or joy over your result (LOL! Just kidding)

Reminder: If you forget your CMS account or password, you must go to MPI office to retrieve it. If you call MPI office, you will still be told to go to MPI office to retrieve it yourself. Of course, you might need to pay for it if it is not the first time.

News: New semester starts at 12 May 2010. 11 May 2010 is orientation day. If you are new student, you should go for the orientation.

Result so far

Actually, no result had come out. It is just the marks over 60 and another 40 marks will be decided during final exam. But over 60 marks, i had gotten some good marks too. First is the Database Management System. I got about 47 over 60. I actually hope i can get more than that. However, my second test only got 30/40. So my marks is not that high. But since it is 75, maybe it is not that hard to get A. Only need 28/40 to get 75. It means i must get 70 marks above in final exam to get A in Database Management System. I think i can do it. :-)

For Software Engineering, i am quite shock when i saw the result. Everyone got a low marks. 28, 23, 25, and highest only 32. Then we go through all the marks and our lecturer found out there is one mistake at the marks counting formula. Once she correct it, our marks all changed. However, there is still one assignment that our lecturer haven't finished mark it yet. She assume i could get 40/60 from that assignment, then i get 47/60 also. I am having head ache of counting of all the marks. Just let the counting to the lecturer and i will go to see again tomorrow.

Overall, i think my result up until now is still okay. I will work harder before final exam. :-)

The subject that i worry the most is Fundamental of Networking. Haissss. We have less assignment and the grade will be decided only in 2 test. 1 is test of physical layer and another is final exam. zzzzzz. So that's it.

By the way, the fatigue from "qing nian zhu ri" yesterday still can be feel. Better get early rest tonight.

How to study effectively?

How to study effectively?

First of all, i will need everyone to think like this. Our brain is like a glass. If it brokes, we die. And when we are borned to the world, the glass is empty because we are still baby and we don't have any knowledge at all. Soon, the glass will be filled of different kind of water, which means, different kind of knowledge.

Imagine our brain as many glass, because we have many part in our brain. Different kind of water goes to different glass. Which means, different kind of knowledge goes to different part of the brain. Goes back to how to study effectively. The easiest time to remember something is when teacher/lecturer/professor are teaching. However, many people failed to do this because somethings are going wrong. So what is going wrong?

Think back when we are at primary school or even kindergarten. Why we can remember easily what teacher teach. Like A, B, C or 1, 2, 3. Because at that time, the glass is empty and it is able to receive anything. By the time we grow up, or when we are at secondary school, it is very hard to remember what teacher said. The main problem is because the knowledge is different with what we had learnt before. In other words, if we use the glass as example, the glass had been filled with some water(some knowledge) and if a new water(new knowledge) is stored in it, it will not blend well and somehow it might repel it.

If you had read until here, i suppose you know what to do. Empty the glass first before you start listening to what teachers are going to teach. Be as innocent as possible when you are listening. Don't think you are good or better than the teacher. Be as stupid as possible. If you don't understand some little thing, just ask. I think a teacher would like to be asked with a lot of question. The more question you ask, the happier the teacher is because he/she knows that you are trying to learn more.

There are still a lot of things need to be considered in order to study effectively. Like

1. Eat something before start study. But don't eat too much. (I always eat too much before start, which make me sleepy even in the morning)
2. It is the best if you could do some exercise before you start studying. Fresh oxygen is needed for your brain. (The chinese girl who got 16A1 in SPM also do exercise every morning)
3. If you are studying yourself or doing revision, don't do it more than 2 hours. Take a break after 2 hours. (Actually, i can only concentrate on something for half hour except doing programming work)
4. Get more opinion or advise from teacher, lecturer or friends because one person point of view is very narrow.
   
5. Social with friends can increase self esteem and also your confident.
6. Get a strong hold in your religion. Always pray.
   

I am not a professor or master in psychologist but this is only my opinion. You can use my opinion as a guide or reference but please don't blame me if something bad happened when you use these method.

Advanced Web Programming Php project 3

I started to type my coding and do the project 3 layout 2 days ago and i haven't start with my database thing. I had only do 1 thing which is creating a database using php code.

I can say it was a success because the database i created successfully appear when i checked it manually. I even haven't start with my table in the database yet. Haha. It would be very hard.

My idea is if the user click the checkbox, it will enable all the text area and text field relating to mailing address and all words inside will be gone. And if i uncheck the checkbox, the words will reapper and disabled.

However, there are several problem using this method which is if i click a create button, it will check if there is any empty field. If there is, a message will be displayed saying some field is not yet filled. Then all the information keyed in before i click create button must still exist. But if i use java script to control the mailing address, i will need to do more checking.

I am sure many people don't understand what i type here because once i read over, i don't quite understand it myself. Hahaha. Nevermind. In conclusion, it needs hard work to do all the error checking. So my classmates, good LUCK :)

Awesome day

Today we have not much things to do.

First, we only do 1 exercise of mysql question in class. So easy and all of us relax and play all the time. Then we met Mr John Su at cafeteria and we sit together to eat. He ask about our final project. I then asked that if he got teach e commerce at next semester or not. He said if there are a lot of student, 2 class need to be opened and he will teach one of the class.

Then we went to library to attend our Business English subject. Well, it is because the paint smell is too strong and it is not good for health. After that, we attend the advanced web programming subject where we study how to use mysql through php. Quite easy and i think it will get hard soon.

At afternoon, we gather to do the work that Mdm Lee asked us to do. The poster of the job vacancy. We gather for about 4 hours and actually we only do for about 2 hours. I played 2 dota games with Bih Soon and each of us win once. We also played poker and chit chatting until dinner. Ton Hung couldn't stay for dinner because he need to fetch his brother.

We finished it before 7pm and it is quite nice.

A last minute job. But she said last minute job is always the worst.

PHP Project 2!

Only about 24 hours left, we need to hand in the project that had been given to us 3 weeks ago. It is quite hard for me but i still managed to finish it. Of course, there are 3 more things in the project that i need to modify later, which is a function that will unchecked the check all checkbox when i unchecked one of the checkbox....., a log out prompt and a limit of password length which is 6 to 12 alphanumeric.

Well, it might not be hard but i am a bit hungry now. So gtg.

Dynamic Menu using CSS file

I search for 2 hours this morning on how to make a dynamic menu. Some of them charge money, some of them i don't even understand.

I really have no idea how to make it by myself. I already know my blog have dynamic menu but i don't want to use that kind of dynamic menu. However, i really have no way to go. Therefore, i refer back to this blog. Copy all the necessary css class and put it in 1 css file. Then i just implement it into my php file, and it works. Wow, i really should thanks blogger for giving this kind of service. Haha. So happy that i finally solve the dynamic menu problem.

If you want to know how to make it, right click my blog and view the page source. Then copy all the navigation menu. To make it simple, you can try to put it all into 1 file first, including the link.

Once you had copied the navigation menu, scroll down until you see a lot of UL, LI with a lot of link. Copy that and edit whatever you want to your code. Have fun. :)

Lunch

Today i go to have lunch at a place that i had in my mind for a long time but i never go because i don't have the chances.

NOODLE HOUSE!

I ordered 2 foods and 2 drinks for my sweetheart and me. She ate wantan qq noodle dry and drinks laichee with aloe vera. I ate sizzling noodle and drink milo godzilla. Actually it is only a normal milo. Only added some ice cream on top of it. The ice cream taste nice too. Not like a low class ice cream.


This is sizzling noodle. Although it looks nice and taste nice, but the quantity can't satisfy me. I don't ask for more meat or prawn, i just want it to have more noodle. Noodle is not expensive, right? Add some noodle and you might have more customer. But still i wish it is cheaper than the current price. So i will give it 7/10.


This is satisfying. I will give 9/10. Haha. And the price is reasonable too.

Jalan Indah "parit" renovation

The drain in front of my house, or we can say the "longkang" is broken for a few years already. I remember when i was a kid, i can play a toy boat race with my friends from a far place until the end of the "longkang" because the water flow fast.

It had been for about 7-10 years that the water in the drain stop flowing and the government just start to do the work. Of course i don't blame them because it is us, the citizen who mostly throw the rubbish into the drain especially the kid and immoral people.

They grab anything out of it. Before this, there is a cement, allowing us to walk through the playground easily but now.


See the dog from the left? I am sure it will got knocked out by a car one day. Always sleep at the middle of the road at midnight.


The tree is now suffering from no water. Government, please do your work faster. So it should be the work of SMC right? ZZZZZ

Software Engineering Presentation

I feel so lazy lately. Lazy to read the upcoming test, Fundamental of Networking, lazy to do Advanced Web Programming project 2 and lazy to do many things.

Anyway, last week, we had presented our software engineering proposal and all of our proposal had been accepted. 2 people in the class get the highest mark and 3 people get second highest. However, the highest mark and lowest mark only differ by 4. So whats the point of getting the highest mark?.

Its Chinese New Year

This year is the lamest year. No decoration, no firework and no people come yet. Normally at this hour, there should be some relative coming. But well, they didn't come. So fine with it. Who cares so much about it. Haha. I just gonna wait until night or dawn, then i will go to friends' house.

Last night is so tiresome. I go out and back home several times. I wish there is a portal from my house to outside.

Today is a special day. Chinese new year first day + valentine day. Hahahaha.

Fcking hate Chinese New Year

Why must we have it? I hate it! Useless fck holiday. Yeah great, i gonna do the house cleaning alone. With some help actually. But starting from today, i think i need to do it alone. No point in asking the others to help me to do all the time. Fine, seems you do the last minute work, next year i go far and far, come back at the last day.

What's the point of having Chinese new year. Every time there is Chinese new year, who earn the most. Who waste the most? The one who earn the most is those shopping mall who sell food and cloth. Did Chinese new year really bring those who study oversea back for gathering. From my experience and what i saw, it only waste the money of their parent to buy another flight ticket.

It's all bullshit. I suggest you don't continue reading this. This is just wasting your time.

Every time there is Chinese new year, i will need to suffer from sickness. And visiting friends house with the sickness as well. I never have a good luck in my life. On my 21th birthday which i have a party with my friends, i was not feeling well too. This is really ridiculous. Everyone always have a good memory in their life. But i am not. I got good result at school but is that what i want? Yeah, and i hope in exchange, i can play games to relax as much as possible during this holiday but what i got from this holiday? Sickness and tiredness. I feel like living is so tired. Why i must live in this suffering world? I only hope i can rest and sleep well now. Perhaps "seppuku" is not a good way.

1 Japanese in Japan commit suicide in 15 minutes. I wonder how about Malaysia. To prevent this, i think Malaysia government did a great job. There is food anywhere with cheap price. If you really couldn't find a job and don't even have money to buy food, go to a shop and tell him you will work for free, but provide you with 3 meals a day. I am sure they will be happy to let you work.
