Furniture setup process

I feel a bit bored in office. Just finished a big job which is put a project into a server.

Now, i am going to post the process where i am setting up my shelf, cupboard and table. It took me about 3 hours or more to totally finish setup the table and shelf. For the cupboard, i used about half hour to set it up.

Cupboard setup process

Set up the pole first.

Then done. I didn't take a lot of picture for this. Don't think its easy because of this.

Next is shelf. Took about 1 hour something to totally finished it.
First step, screw in the screw to the wood. There is a hole provided at a very accurate location. So we don't need to scared of messing it up.

Continue screwing.

Still screwing....

Almost done. (if you look properly, the second piece of wood from left is reversed(one side of the wood is pretty and another side is ugly one). I didn't focus on that and i end up wasting more 15 minutes to take out and put it back in.

The last piece of wood. If you notice, my laptop is on the floor because the table is not set up yet.

Alright, now start with the table.

I am so scared when i open it. So many pieces of wood. And screw too. How am i going to set this up....

And the user manual is really a bit crap. Just one page...

I take my time and finally the shape is coming out.

I keep working and there is still some wood left....

Ta daa.... my new table had been completed...

And the remaining thing on the box....

Finally i can put my laptop on it. Hahaha.

My new room

I been told by my landlord that i can move in at last Friday or onward.

So I moved in at Saturday morning. When i move in, the room is empty with only 1 bed frames and nothing else.

However, my room now look like this....

My new table, shelf and chair. Total cost about RM140

Cupboard, shelf and bed. Total cost.....maybe around RM350 because the bed cost a lot.

This is where i put my luggage.

There are still some space that can accommodate around 2 beds. So when my friend move back to Sibu, i will get some of his remaining furniture such as the table and iron.

Now, compared to the place that i live before together with my friends, this is much more comfortable. The space is bigger. Actually, my friend's room is quite organized. Because of me, the things increased and there is no place to put it. Therefore, it become messy. This is the picture of my friend's room(or my ex-room)

The table where i put my computer

His mattress

My mattress

My luggage and his luggage. LOL

After i move, his room become very big and have a lot of space.

My current room had been adjusted. The picture you saw up above is the picture 2 days back when i just move in. At Sunday afternoon, i move some of the furniture and the design changed again. I will upload the picture few days later as i haven't take the picture of my whole room.

Touch and go card

In KL, if you travel everyday using LRT, it will be wise to have a touch and go card. It speeds up your check in and check out process. You do not need to wait in the queue to buy ticket and then check in. You only need to touch the card at a scanner machine and the door open automatically.

There are many types of card payment. If you travel everyday, i suggests you to buy 30 days LRT permit with RM100. You can take LRT unlimited time in 30 days. However, monorail and bus is not included in the package.

If you want to include monorail and bus in the package, you need to buy the RM150 package. 30 days with unlimited ride in bus, LRT and monorail.

This morning, i slept until 7.35am. I still feel sleepy. However, i still need to get to work. So i changed. They said I can wear casual to work on Friday. So i wore my T shirt, jeans and sport shoes. Haha.

Normally, my journey would be bus>LRT>work>LRT>bus.
Each bus ride is rm1.00 and LRT is RM1.60. However, with touch and go card, i can save up to RM3.20 each day.

When i took a bus ride and arrive LRT station at morning, i realized i didn't bring my touch and go card. I planned to go back and take the card so i can save total up to about RM1.20. However, i don't have the key to the house and my room mate already left to work. I am so disappointed and sad.

This is the touch and go card(the back side). I will just bear with it, since it is my last day staying at my friends house. Hahahaha

Food price comparison between KL and Sibu

A lot of people from my hometown(Sibu) said that the living fees in KL is very high. Actually it's not very high if you know how to plan you budget. The only things that is expensive here is entertainment because there are too many entertainment place in KL.

Back to the topic, in Sibu, a normal plate of food like fried noodles or fried kuey tiao is about RM3.00 to RM3.50. In KL, it cost about RM4.50 to RM5.00
It differs by about RM1.50

How about the content? In Sibu, RM3.00 only got maybe 5-8 pieces of meat, 2-4 thin pieces of fishball, a lot of vegetables and if lucky, maybe eggs.
Example of Sibu fried noodle

However in KL, RM4.50, you can find 5-8 pieces of meat, a lot of "ham", 3-5 prawn, eggs, a lot of bean sprout(which i think many people like to have them in noodles), little vegetable and some pieces of fishball.
Example of fried noodle in KL

I will not say the food in KL is expensive, i rather say it's worth. However, the taste of Sibu food is totally different than KL food. I must get use to KL food but I am sure I will miss Sibu food.....a lot.

New knowledge

Last night arrive home about 11.30pm because i went to play badminton with my colleagues. Luckily got friend can fetch me home. My hand feel so painful now. This morning can't even wake up early like usual. Haha.

Alright, ever see this thing?

Sure you do.
This is barcode scanner. However there is something different about this barcode scanner. The scanner surface is so big that is does not display a line. It is used to read matrix barcode. What is matrix barcode.

This is matrix barcode. It can read up to 110 character from this matrix barcode. Much more useful than a normal barcode.

I need to help in a project using this kind of machine. Sure i cannot reveal what is the project because it is company's law. Haha.

Will post more soon about my life. :-)

Ps: Baby, I miss you so much.

Update of my living place

Due to request by my baby, i am gonna update some picture. Of course not my own picture.

Currently I am living in old town, PJ. Soon, i will move to Sea Park, PJ also. Living in old town, i need to walk about 5-10 minutes, take a bus about 15-20 minutes, take LRT about 15 minutes to arrive my working place. Including the time to wait for bus, I think i need to start preparing myself at 7.15am if the working time starts at 9.00am.

This is the picture of the transit map.

The new place seems farther to my working place but actually it is closer. I only need to walk about 3-5 minutes to LRT station, take LRT for about 20 minutes and I arrive my working place. It means that I can sleep until 8.30am. Hahaha.

Alright, will update about my life again soon.

First day in KL

My first day in KL. Luckily i have a friend that can fetch me around to find place to live.

I first arrive KL Sentral and deliver some thing for my relative. Then i wait for my friend to come and we had lunch. Then his friend come to fetch us.

First, we went to Miharja apartment. A very convenient and crowded place. Most of the population is chinese. We found the notice saying room for rent but most of them had been rented out and some did not answer the phone call.

Next we went to find wangsa metroview but couldn't find it. So we went to menara alpha and viewed 2 room. Quite ok and the price is ok too. However i can only move in at 1st of March and another one at middle of March. I couldn't wait that long.

Time fly by very quickly. It's dinner time.

After dinner, we went to find room at terrace house. There might be a better offer. Found one that is located just next to LRT station. If i live there, i only need to walk less than 30 seconds and i can arrive the lrt station because it is just in front of the door of the terrace house. However, there are OKU association there. Some OKU people are living there. I called but cannot get through.

We continued to find room in terrace house. And in the end, i will be going to view the room tomorrow. Wish me luck. :-)
