Last day in Bemalas

When I was given the option to leave Bemalas earlier, I kinda shocked. I can still work until 5th July and get paid as what had been agreed but getting in to new company 1 month earlier seems a bit more worthy. So I did asked my superior how early I can leave. He said anytime, next week also can.

So I checked with my new employer, and they mentioned I can join anytime I want, the earlier the better. So I confirmed with my superior and they agreed to let me serve 2 more days from the day I know that I am given the option, and then using my annual leave to offset everything and I will still get paid until end of next week but today is my last day.

I will start my new job on 1st of June 2016, which is next Wednesday. I got a 2 days rest on Monday and Tuesday which I think is enough to adjust my mood.

Words can't express my feeling now. It's kinda mixed. But more to excitement of new job. A little bit of sadness because leaving the team and everything that I had worked on. Excitement because I will be able to be on job training in Canada for 2 months. I will be on shopping spree and sight seeing for sure. More research needed to be done before I go there.

Wahoo!!!!

New job again soon.

As what I had asked from God, He gave me more than I asked for.

Even though the new job salary is not reaching my expected salary, but it's already a huge increment compared to previous job hopping. This time, i which is really a good jump but I expect myself to work at this company for at least 3 years.

I am really blessed when I got the offer. The recruiter was helpful. This is the second time I got a job recommended by recruiter. My job scope will be mixed, not only front end but also back end. It is a good practice for me to become a full stack developer.

So working in this company requires me to travel to Canada for the first 2 months. Another blessing as I never been to Canada or anywhere in North America. Wait... is Canada in North America.

I tendered my resignation letter on last Friday and my current CTO is being really nice to me. He agreed to all my request for early notice period. And my last day is exactly the same as what I had calculated. A very helpful HR in Pacific Founders too.

In the end, I can't settle down in Pacific Founders because this place doesn't give me a comfortable feeling. Small working space made me feeling a bit cramped. I also wonder if I have had dinner with my bosses for more than 15 times in this 8 months. Usually they went on their own or I go to buy food early. I seriously don't like this kind of working area where all the food nearby is expensive that each meal cost you at least RM15. I rather drive out to buy some economics rice at RM7 or 8 with all the dishes that I like.

Other than that, I really like the team that I am working with now. All of them are professional. The team manage to hire some high quality coders, UI/UX experts and some IT executives that are willing to spend time working on weekend, handling tasks that I don't like to handle.

At last, I will still be here until 5th July. Hopefully everything goes well until my last day.

When someone earn more money than you.

I always wonder when someone earn more money than me, is it normal?

Yeah, now I think it is what they deserve. If they are earning more money than me, it just means few things.

1. They are willing to take risks.
2. They are more hardworking than me.
3. They are using their brain more than me in the society.
4. They enjoy less than me while building up their network in the society.
5. They spend more time on their career than me.
6. They attend more course and have higher qualification than me.
7. They made a much better decision than me.
8. They dare to do the things that I don't dare to do.
9. They have bigger support behind them.
10. They made the correct choices.
11. They are willing to admit their mistake and learn from it.
12. They are responsible for their act.
13. They know what they are doing.
14. They are always up to date on current trend.
15. They live up to their reputation and expectation. If they don't they apologize.
16. They are willing to listen to advise but not necessarily using it. They will only take it as reference.
17. They listen more than they speak.
18. They focus on what they should instead of what they shouldn't.

God is fair. When I thought that my life is so miserable because I don't have any big support behind me, He gave me all the talent and resource that I need to survive on my own and I thank Him for that. I am surrendering my life to Him for the rest of my life.
