Just sharing something that I know.
If we do cheque deposit at cheque deposit machine, it will takes 2 floating days.
So let say today before they collect the cheque, you bank in the cheque at the machine, so starting from today, it will be 2 floating days. Tomorrow will have 1 floating day left. Good things about Maybank is that their last floating day will be cleared at 8pm. So by 8.30pm like that, you can get your money already.
However, there is one thing that I'm not sure of which is if I bank in the cheque at Maybank counter today, will it be one day float from today? Then does it mean at 8pm tonight, I can get the money already? I will post it here when i know the answer.

Found out that the floating day is only counted at working days because my cheque floating days stay 1 day at Saturday and Sunday. However, i remember clearly there are several times the floating day is cleared on Saturday. So, i have no idea what is going on.

Thursday night you should be able to get it if your cheque is issued by public bank. Otherwise, you should be able to get latest by Friday

ReplyDeleteIt depends on which bank in Singapore that issue the cheque. I doubt it will be quick since it is cheque bank in across country. However, i cannot be too sure because i have never experience any cheque bank in across country.

ReplyDeleteDepends on what bank issue the cheque. If by Public bank or maybank itself, you can get the payment by Friday night. Otherwise, if you are unlucky, you will need to wait until Monday night. Sometimes you will be lucky to get it by Saturday night.

ReplyDeleteIf you masukkan cek after the collection time, you kena tunggu the bank staff to collect cek from the machine dulu, then the night after that it will appear. So it will appear malam keesokan hari :)

ReplyDeleteKalau besok(28 Sept 2016) masukkan cek sebelum Maybank staff kutip cek, then you can get the money on Thursday night (29 Sept 2016). If you masukkan cek after Maybank staff kutip cek, meaning they will only collect cek on Thursday (29 Sept 2016), so you hanya boleh dapat wang tersebut malam Jumaat (30 Sept 2016)

ReplyDeleteYeah. If today also havent show in Maybank2u, it might be that no one is collecting the cheque on Friday. So after they collect it on Monday, Tuesday night you can get the money. I hope you get it soon :(

Yeah, Malaysia doesnt allow post dated cheque to be banked in earlier than the date. Only on the day or the day after the date. So you need to ask the company to reissue a new cheque :)

Eh, ni salah nama event ke atau nama orang? If wrong name on human name, sure will bounce back. But I tak ingat ada nama macam event stuff on cheque pula. Usually bank wont call la, probably reject terus. So it's best if u have continue follow up on your own.
