How to check a fake or phishing Maybank website?

I post this because I am a very active user of Maybank website. Perhaps some people wants to know about this.
There are several ways to detect whether the website is real or fake. It is simple.

1. Check the url. Maybank website url is http://www.maybank2u.com.my/

2. The browser will display a warning picture.

Something like this.

3. The email sent to you that contain a link normally is fake website too. The bad guys who do this normally have a link like this. This is example only.

Click here to update your security features.

4. Maybank only send email about the money you transfer online. It never ask you to log in via the link sent to you.

5. The ip address of maybank currently is 202.162.17.68. If you key in http://202.162.17.68 to the url, it will link to maybank too. However, be careful if email sent to you contain this number. They might change the number and if you don't realize it, then its dangerous. Best way is to not open the url through email.

So how do we check the ip address of the website?
1. Open your command prompt.
2. Key in tracert [website name]
Eg. "tracert choozin.blogspot.com"

3. See the ip address that comes after the website name.
4. To copy it, right click and choose mark.
5. Drag from where you want to copy until the end of the words you want to copy.
6. Left click one time. It will be counted as copy.
7. Paste at URL
8. Add http:// in front of the ip address.
9. Click enter.

Done.

Thanks for reading.
