Self improvement.

Self improvement is so important. No matter what is it we are doing, we need to improve ourselves. Just make sure everything done is really useful and not a waste of time. 

Even if reading article from internet, watching television (of useful documentary) is counted as productive things for me because i learn something new from there.

I believe we should not stop learning. So whenever watching or reading something, i will try to see what i can learn from there.

2013 and 2014

So what have I achieved in year 2013 and my year 2014 resolutions.

I have unlocked some achievement. Haha, terms from most of the game. I am using short terms only. Savings, income, health, guitarist, badminton, Sibu. Elaborating some of the keywords only. My income had been increased by quite a lot. My badminton and guitar skill both have been improved. Went back Sibu for some settlement and few other places for vacation.

Now for year 2014, this is my resolutions.

1. I hope my income can reach 5k by the end of year 2014.

2. Diet and reduce my weight. 

3. Maintain my health and skin condition. 

4. Try to have more than 20k savings and prepare to buy house in 2015.

5. Vacation to few more place that I haven't been to with my beloved, if I have any. 

6. Setting up my own website.

Not much resolutions for year 2014 as my life have been quite peaceful. 

Tips on making girl feels good on your first date.

This is my personal opinion only.

1. Check a little bit on her background during chat or facebook to know what type of person is she. Student? Worker? Professional? Businessman? Entrepreneur? Dress accordingly. Don't wear formal, tie and coat if she is student. This will make her feel not comfortable.

2. Ask question to her about herself. Talk less about yourself unless she asked a lot about you. 

3. Ask her what to eat on the menu and help her to order it. 

4. Choose a suitable place for the date. Don't pick noisy place. Choose place with some people but not too many people.

5. Don't simply touch her. Respect the girl and she will respect you back.

6. Talk the way she talked to you. If she talks fast, you should not talk too slow. If she talks a lot, let her do so.

7. Listen to what she said and ask question accordingly. Don't ask question that is totally different than what you and her discussed.

8. Sometimes a moment of silence is good too. 

9. Don't eat too fast, it will cause her to eat faster and feel uncomfortable.

10. Don't eat too less. She will not dare to eat much if you do so.

11. Don't eat too much, you will scare her off.

12. Pay for the bill, don't be a jackass. 

Date with strangers experience.

I had asked many girls out for dinner and movie. If you consider dinner and movie privately with a girl at some nice restaurant as a date, then i had been on many dates. 

Just sharing some of my experience. Strangers that I date are really from online dating website. Some of them are a bit desperate to find boyfriend but some of them are just trying to make more friends so they can do their business better. Like what I did before. The group of people that I meant is insurance agent and direct sales distributor. Both of these group of people hope to meet as much friends as before. Although some might really end up become a couple after some dates, the chances to get together with these 2 groups of people are really rare.

So most of the people who are using these dating websites with the original intention and purpose of them had less choices to choose from. Most of the girl and boy that i met from these web are either introvert, which mean does not know how to socialize well, or not so good looking physically, like don't know how to make up, fat or etc. Well, you can say that might be true for me because I am using them too. Its not totally wrong. I am sometimes introvert and I am not so good looking physically. Hahahaha.

Although I am not so good looking physically, I had been quite an ass. Quite picky on most of the thing. Whenever i date a girl and the feeling is not right, i will not date that girl anymore. I found out that this is not only happening to me. Some girls that I met also did the same. Its some sort of signal like "we are not really suitable together, let's not waste our precious time".

Some of you might say, "oh my, why not just going out as friends first". Well, I am meeting a strangers that i know not much about. If i bring her to meet my friends, my friends will thought I had some feeling for her. If we went out privately, it will feel like we are having a date. So in the end, i think not meeting up is a better choice. I don't feel guilty or anything too. Its not like I did anything to her on the first date too.

Getting a Job in Netccentric.

It was 2 weeks back when i got invited to attend an interview in Netccentric.

There are few companies that are really famous under Netccentric in Malaysia which is Nuffnang and ChurpChurp. Nuffnang is doing blog advertising for blogger while ChurpChurp is a social media platform. 

My jobstreet resume status is not actively looking for job. So one afternoon, Netccentric called me when I was in the toilet. It was a coincidence. The HR Executive called and asked me whether I heard of Nuffnang or not. Of course yes. So she invited me to attend for an interview. Actually I don't plan to change job because i feel quite comfortable working at my current company. However, its Nuffnang. I had started using this website before i came to KL. And now they wanted to interview me, of course i gonna grab this opportunity.

So the interview date and time had been arranged to the time which is after work. However, i reached earlier by half hour and waited in the room. So the interviewer came in and i intro-ed myself. After a short introduction, i showed my resume that i printed out from jobstreet... Since the resume is available there, i didn't make one on my own. 

So after viewing my resume, he tested my technical skill. He asked me to write a function on the spot. I wrote it but its quite messy. It is a very hard question if you don't have a very good basic. And after the first question, he asked another question and this time i solved it easily. 

He told me we will keep in touch again. At that time, I feel very happy because it seems like the interviewer is really interested in me. 

So i waited for a week and they finally called me. The person in charge, which is a girl, asked me to send 2 referral name from my current company and previous company to her. So i sent it. 

That night, i go back home and sleep and dreamt about being offered by the company. In my dream, they offer me RM300 higher than my expected salary. I am very happy that it happened. I thought it will happen in real life. Or they might offer me even higher than what i had dreamt of.

So the next day she called me and told me that they will offer me the job but with a salary that I don't feel satisfied with which is 200 less than my expected salary. I had calculated everything before i went for interview. The cost to go there is very high, and time consuming. If it didn't reach my expected salary, i will not go there for sure. Actually, my expected salary is really low since i need to travel far. I should have asked for higher because of the transportation problem. 

I rejected the offer however she called me back and told me they had discussed and finally can offer me my expected salary. 

So i printed my resignation letter and my offer letter from Nuffnang. I bring everything to the discussion room and meet with my team leader. I tell him everything, from the start until the end and about my calculation of everything. He bring in the Managing Director and the Executive Director. Both of them are very nice to me.

In the end, they successfully convince me to stay by promising something good will happen. I believe them because it is their promise. If they didn't keep their promise, it wont be too late to resign by then.

I also don't feel to leave the company when the version 3 is under development. 85% of the back end code is done by me. I want to watch the baby grow. See how well it works with other department to earn money. The function that the company use to earn money currently, almost all of the back end code is done by me. I can say is about 95%. The front end code is done by one of my colleagues alone. Basically it's like 2 men show. Team lead who are experienced will only review the code and do some minor minor changes while the senior developer who just came in is still on the phase of picking up.

So the conclusion is, i rejected the offer. I feel a bit sorry for Netccentric especially the HR executive that had been questioned by me about everything of the company. I am really really sorry. 

I hope there is a chance to work together in future. Wish everything will go well there. Again, thank you very much to Netccentric for a wonderful experience :)

East Malaysia Vacation. Bintulu to Miri to Brunei

Hello. 

It has been some time since i update my blog.

So here is the first greeting picture. 

This is inside a shopping mall in Bintulu

Along with 2 of my brothers.

So here is the stories. My brothers and I went to Bintulu and stayed at my relative house for 2 nights. The first day is bored and nothing much can be done during afternoon. Only walking in a shopping mall which is much smaller than the shopping mall in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

But East Malaysia!!! We should enjoy the nature. Not the city live...

So we went to Kuala Tatau.... (Sounds like tak tau.... in chinese, island is "dao", so is actually "bu zhi dao"... which mean i don't know in chinese)

So we take a small boat to get over to the other side.

Here is some worm for fishing purpose.

Its actually a boring moment when you need to wait for the fish to get hooked.

So at night time, we went to this relative house and we started BBQ. Its really fun.

However, when we are eating happily, this dog, Lulu if not mistaken, got poisoned by someone outside. They throw some food with dog poison. Of course dog know nothing. So they just eat whatever there is. Few minutes later, the dog started to vomit bubble. Cannot move and start shaking on the floor. It died in about 20-30 minutes.

Cannot do anything about it. We still need to continue the bbq.

So the third day, we wanted to go to Miri to play. So my relative brought us to eat breakfast first.

Nasi lemak ayam. Which is really really delicious in my opinion.

On the way, we stopped at this beach.

And the scenery is destroyed by him... Hahahaha.

So we went for lunch at Uncle Lim Kitchen. The food is really made using their best effort. Because it took more than half hour for 3 dishes to come out. Hahaha.

Of course i always eat meat in each meal.

And my brother tried this out. But it's satisfying and full.

Its actually a zoo. But the main attraction is crocodile, that's why its called crocodile farm.

4 days at Bintulu and Miri

So i have this relative that is damn nice to my brothers and I one. When my dad and mom passed away, they come here all the way from Bintulu to take care of us. 

So this time, my brothers and I had decided to visit them at Bintulu. I brought 3 jackets, one for her and her husband. Another one for her sister. For 3 of the kids, we will find something better soon.

So this is our plan, I will fly on Friday, 13th September early morning. Which means i will go to airport on 12th September night to stay over. I hope i can sleep well at airport. Hope it wont be like last time. Last time, i wander around until 5am in the morning and just get about 1 hour sleep. It is really tiring. So once i reach Bintulu, my small brother will come to fetch me and my big brother will reach bus terminal around the same time. So we will go around Bintulu for some time and then we will find our relative at night time after his work. 

Then we might go zoo the next day and we will go to Miri on the night of the second day. Stay at small bro's room and then we will play for one and a half day. Then i will come back KL on Sunday afternoon. It had been quite a quite expensive trip since the flight ticket cost around 350+. Well, i guess i need a good rest after everything that had happened.

Assembling Ikea bed frame and wardrobe.

Had just got increment in salary and am getting some new furniture from Ikea. What i bought is a bed frame (RM399), a mattress (RM699) and a wardrobe (RM199). Delivery fees is RM75.

While i am shopping at Ikea, my slipper broken. So i went to Ikano and straight away bought a good slipper. Crocs brand. Cost me RM129. What a day. Spent about RM1500 in just few hours.

Although the delivery fee is a bit expensive, but its fast despite so many order there is. My items reached the second days around 12pm. However, when i do the payment, they mentioned it will reach between 3-5pm. Its earlier by 3 hours and i asked them to wait for me since i am at outside eating my lunch. They waited and didn't complain. Its good.

So i started the assembling process with the wardrobe first. My room is really really small. Its hard to do the assembling inside the room but i need to do it inside the room because it will be more troublesome if i assemble it at living room and move it to the room. So i move most of the thing out of my room and assemble it. Here we go.

Opening the box. Move the "papan" and scratched my finger. Bleeding and its painful. Don't have handyplast so i wrap it with tissue paper and tightening it with rubber.

Continue the assembling with my painful finger. Just following the manual and it will worked well.

One of the door is on. Next one is coming.

Its done. So i started to put all my clothes inside. Yeah!!! 

Assembling time: Roughly 1 hour 30 minutes. 

Next, i have a bed frame. Its harder and inside the manual, they encourage to have 2 people to work together to assemble it.

However, i assemble the bed frame alone, and this time, its even faster than the wardrobe.

The best feeling ever. I can sleep comfortably now. Hahaha.

Last emo post.

This will be my last emo post in my blog. I will never write any emotional stuff anymore in future.

My dad passed away at 9.28pm 19 Aug 2013. I am not there when he passed away. But my small bro and I did rushed back to see him last week during Raya. He had seen us, eat and talk about everything what he wanted, and now, he had passed away. When i was there, he saw a lot of hallucination. Like Japanese bombing, his working mates and others. The last hallucination he saw today is mom. My mom who had passed away at 14 January 2007, he asked about her. Maybe he saw some hallucination about mom and thought she was still alive. Or his brain is moving backward.

My big bro told my small bro and I that my dad stopped breathing around 8.30pm. Doctor tried to save him using emergency rescue but the doctor did said that if within half hour my dad still cannot be saved, he will become in coma state. Doctor continued to do the emergency rescue until half hour later. My dad condition still has not becoming any better. My big brother with tears in his eyes, called me and my small brother to ask if wanted to continue to do the emergency rescue or not. I told my big brother that if can be saved also in comma state, then we better leave it. My small brother should said so too.

So the doctor give some medication to my dad so his heart can keep beating. Half hour later, which is about 9.28pm, his heart stopped beating. He had been reunited with my mom.

I am mentally prepared for these because my brothers and I had discussed about this before. However, when i was booking the flight in the office and after telling my boss about the emergency leave that i need to take to settle the funeral things, i couldn't hold my tears in the office and cried out. So I checked which flight is the cheapest, asked my small brother to buy it for me because i had no money left in my maybank account. In quite a poor state this month because had already bought 2 sets of flight ticket cost me around 1 thousand. 

Positively thinking, my dad had gone to a better place. No more suffering and he is now with my mom. I believe a more challenging life is now with my brothers and I. We are on our own. We can survive on our own. We don't need to depend on anyone. Although we are not making a lot of money, but what we have here is a fresh new start. I am looking forward to it. 

Top 5 reasons you shouldn't be fat.

There is no survey had been done, just personal opinion.

1. You shouldn't be fat because you will cause the person who sit beside you in bus, LRT or airplane feel uncomfortable. You are taking up their space, leaving them so less left.
2. You shouldn't be fat because whenever you are in a car, whether you are driving or not, you will cause the car to be unbalanced. You will cause the car absorber to spoil faster.
3. You shouldn't be fat because you will slow down many people. You slowed down your team in a game, you slowed down the whole group in a bus because you cannot get off the bus faster, you slowed down the the transport of people from 1st floor to 20th floor because your weight alone is enough to cover up for 2 people and so on. You slow!
4. You shouldn't be fat because you die faster. Although some skinny people also die fast, but fat people definitely will get high blood pressure, diabetes and heart attack easier.
5. You shouldn't be fat because you will be lack of stamina. A little bit of walking cause you to feel tired. You cannot work efficiently compared to healthier or skinnier people. No matter what you do, you lack of stamina.... No matter what...

Current dad situation.

My dad had been in hospital for few weeks. He started to be moved in to hospital when my big brother found out that his legs got some maggots. Its really disgusting when i thought about it.

Doctor inspected him and said the maggots is there eating the flesh because the meat is dead. To cure this situation, they need to take off any place that is infected by the maggots. Or any dead meat. Few days before operation, the nurse found out his thumb also got some maggots.

Today is the day of the operation. It is quite sudden when my big bro just asked my small bro and my for our agreement on the amputation of my dad's leg. My small bro and I agreed. I think there is no other, so i agreed to it.

Now the operation is done. The leg amputation is done. The right leg is gone until the knee. I don't think his life will be the same anymore. Not if he don't want to go through the physiology treatment. I hope God had a better arrangement for him which i don't know what is it.

My dad and my big bro had been very negative for all these. My dad scolded the doctor vulgar words. However, i guess the doctor had been used to it la. The doctor is trying to save life. Not trying to kill him. Its just my dad himself cannot accept the fact that his leg is gone. And his thumb too.

Moody

All the time i was in KL, i feel much better because i dont like my home in Sibu. The main reason is because my mom left us early to the heaven and now my dad is in charge of home. He is doing a bad job. Really bad one. 

However, seeing him in his current state really pain my heart out. He cannot walk to bathroom so he didnt bath for few months. My big bro who quit his job to take care of dad only clean his body everyday. My big bro almost gone crazy due to the stress and psychology tension. He often said he wish the world end like what the mayan calendar said.... i really really dont know what should i do. 

Its really painful to see him like that. Even if he is not a good dad. Somewhere in my mind saying,"wouldnt it be better for all of us if my dad go to meet my mom?" My bro can start to work back. We have less tension and stress. Everything will become peaceful. However, this is my dad. Even though his leg got some hole and inside the hole got worm, even if he cannot shit and pee properly, he is still my dad. I am putting aside everything now, except my work and my dad.... and my bros. I dont want to have any new commitment. I will just go with the flow. 

Next week will be a big week, determine whether i will continue to stay in my current company to work or i will start looking for a new job. I am looking for higher salary pay, wherever i need to go. I will care less about other thing now. Even socializing if needed. Let other people say i am antisocial or what, i dont care...

I wish there is some way to reduce my big bro stress. 

One day trip at Sepang.

Had went to a friend's house in Sepang after fetching a colleague to LCCT airport. 

Then went to a friend house and have lunch and dinner there. Her mom cooked for us. :D

This Kit Kat is from Japan. She keep on finding food for me when i reached there. Hahaha

Actually planned to go to some place in Sepang that i never went. Its a temple. Her mom and dad wanted to visit the temple first so i fetch them there and waited for them.

So after went to gano farm, we went to bridge of lover... in chinese they called it "qing ren qiao" but its broken. The bridge is under maintenance. So next time i visit my friend there, we will go again. 

Thinking and doing.

Thinking and doing. In most job, we only need to do, following the footstep of our superiors or seniors or leaders. It goes by the saying "The more you think, the less you do; the less you think, the more you do".

However, it is totally the other way round for IT Developer. For us, "The more you think, the better you do; the less you think, the worse you do".

So this conflicts really made me stucked in the middle. I just feel so tired from a lot of things lately and wanted to get some rest. 

Stucked outside my own room.

Well, this is like announcing to the world that my room has no door knob now.

Last night, when i wanted to go out to buy some food, i locked my door and walk to the living room. My housemate asked if the bed sheet is mine, which i dry it under the fan in the living room. 

So i get it and try to put it in my room before i go out.

Suddenly i realize i cannot open the door no matter how many time i turn the door knob. I keep on trying and trying, until the door know totally broken. I can turn it round and round, that means the door knob is really broken. 

No other choice, i must go in my room, i use some force to pull the door knob. 

Still not working, i push hard.

Keep on trying until my housemate come down and saw me. I asked him if there is any tool to break it down. He took a spanar and pull it. 

In the end, the door knob is totally broken down. Open the door, clean up the mess and continue my stuff.

Now there is a hole on my door. Whenever i get changed, i am feeling insecure. Scared someone watch me from outside. Hahahaa.

Samsung Galaxy S2 stucked at Samsung Logo page after software update to Jelly Bean

Here is what happened. 

I was sleeping. And when i was half awake, i saw my Galaxy S2 has a software update. Being half awake and half asleep me,  I thought "Finally Jelly Bean" is out for Samsung Galaxy S2. So i clicked update and continued my sleep. Since i have unifi installed, i am not worry of the data download usage. And since i plugged the charger with my smartphone whole night, i am not worried about the battery as well.

When i woke up, i saw the phone showed Samsung logo. The logo is what we saw when we first turn on our Samsung phone. I thought it was still updating the phone, so i waited for the whole day.

The next day, the logo is still there. I had thought that something was wrong so I tried several things.

1. Restart my phone. I clicked on turn off button for abt 5 seconds then the screen is gone. When i release the button, the screen appear again.

2. Take out the battery. I take out the battery and put it back in. Then tried to turn it on again. It still stucked at Samsung logo.

3. I try to reset it. I push volume up button, turn on/off button and home button for 10 seconds, still nothing happen.

4. I tried what is written on FAQ page of Samsung smarphone web page. Take out the battery, put it back in, do step 3 again but still nothing happen.

In the end, i decided to bring to Samsung service center to fix it. 

When i reach there, the person who serve me said they can do it for me. Which mean update to Jelly Bean, but all the data will be gone. I was dumbstrucked for a while. All my picture, songs, message history and phone number will be gone.

Yesterday i got my phone back. All number is gone. The number from when i was in secondary school, college, work and strangers. I need to find all of them back and this is gonna take some time.

Please follow proper step when you are doing software update for your phone. 

Work Satisfaction

Although these few days can only go back home at around 11.30pm, i still feel great and satisfied. Its because I feel I had done a lot of improvement in my work. A big improvement. I can now debug the code faster than before. I can find out some bug that others cannot. Word cannot describe how satisfied am I.

Other than that, my life had been nothing special lately. Maybe this is lifeless but I hope this week work can let me gain some reputation and make me get more increment. If not, I am leaving for sure. 

A company named QR Solution Malaysia Sdn Bhd from nearby found me through Jobstreet and asked for my application. It means they are interested in my resume. Another company from Singapore named Pioneers & Leaders also did the same. It means my resume is attractive enough to attract their attention and gain their trust. My contract end in 2 months. Let see how does it goes.

A day of dinner in Bangi

Last Sunday night, my friend, Wai Choon, and I went to Bangi to find my brother to have dinner. We went to a restaurant to eat Yong Tau Fu end up we ordered dishes for the dinner.

Total cost is about RM109. Each of us paid RM18. Its really an expensive meal.

Gratitude.

Gratitude is shown when someone helped you or when you helped someone. Here is some gratitude shown to me when i helped them.

My brother's friends come to PJ from their uni and i let them stay in my room for 2 days. This is the gratitude shown by them.

Went to do some charity work at Old Folk's home and this is the certificate they give after that.

Helped my colleagues to do this and that. So this is what i get. 

This is bought by a friend from Australia. She gave this to me as a souvenir. Thanks to her, it had been a long time since i last taste this Nougat.
